our story

Launched in July 2019...

Cocolife.black, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, black-owned, national maternal resource platform. Our mission is to provide significant and intentional support Black moms in 3 key stages: Pregnancy, Postpartum & Compassion (for the loss of a child or significant loved one).

This is our ministry! When our founder Alexia, was called to launch this initiative it was to be obedient to God's word. As she reflected on her experience and the experiences of friends and family, she realized the importance of the work and the necessity in creating a space where Black moms could have easy access to a community and resources.

It Takes A Village! We are developing a Community-empowered Care Model. We are educating and committed to developing intentional relationships with organizations who offer products and services that benefit our Coco Community. We are engaging, holding and promoting a communal space to heal from the affects of intergenerational trauma around health inequities. We are empowering dads, grandparents, neighbors, children and other community members as they are an intricate part of the mother's support system. All of this to cultivate community, an ecosystem that supports moms Bump & Beyond.
