About the event

We invite expecting moms parents of children under 2 years old, and Mombassador community members to attend The M.O.M.S. Tour on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, located at 2800 W. Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19150. 10:30am - 3pm.

The M.O.M.S Tour (Maternal Outcomes Matter Showers), is a 2-year Community Baby Shower Tour that will target 50 cities, reaching up to 25,000 expectant mothers in communities with high maternal and morbidity rates. The Tour is focused on providing resources, expanding the birth worker workforce and reducing the unacceptably high maternal mortality and morbidity rates in the U.S., especially among Black and American Indian/Alaska Native moms.

The attendees will receive educational information, entertainment, small bites, and resources needed for their new baby. We will also provide health-related resources like 1 on 1 space for maternal mental health support and health screenings for HIV, Hepatitis and the Heart.

This unprecedented and groundbreaking initiative represents a partnership between The Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, The What to Expect Project and World Vision in collaboration with A Chance to Learn, CocoLife.Black, and Mom Congress.
